PURCHASING MANAGER
LOCATION: SHEFFIELD, DONCASTER
SALARY AND BENEFITS: £40 - £50,000 + CAR
COMPANY INFORMATION:

- With a turnover of nearly £50 million in the UK , they continually growing through acquisitions

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Relevant degree or professional purchasing qualification
- Knowledge of the steel industry
- The ability to read and understand complex product specifications
- Management experience
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Experience of mechanical engineering and materials processing
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate deals.
- An analytical mind to enable effective inventory management
- Knowledge of Cr-Mo, nickel based and low alloy steels
ROLE INFORMATION:
- Manage the Purchasing team to ensure that it operates effectively, ensuring that training needs are met.
- Establish and maintain a high level of open communication with suppliers to ensure that deliveries are on time and to the right levels of quality.
- Develop new supply sources and supply routes that deliver a competitive advantage to the company.
- Ensure that material requisitions, and enquiries are processed accurately and efficiently
