Our client, a market leader in the manufacture of machinery for use in the recycling industry, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their expanding team.
Duties encompass the procurement of all items relating to individual contracts including:-
-Requests for quotation.
-Choice of supplier.
-Raising of Purchase Order in conjunction with project plan.
-Negotiation of price/payment terms in conjunction with financial budgets.
-Organising deliveries/collections from suppliers to site and where necessary arranging all export documentation.
Objectives include:-
Introduce cost reduction program.
Introduce a system to monitor the movement of core product costs eg, steel fabrications.
Consolidate supplier base.
Maintain project plans and ensure finance department are fully aware of latest changes.
Liaise with customers regarding site deliveries/ special requirements.
