My client is a leading fabrication company based in Rotherham who are now looking for an experienced Project / Quality Engineer.
A project Quality Engineer is required to work and lead projects from initial order enquiry through to delivery of product to the customer.
The successful candidate will deploy quality management tools within a defined Product Introduction Process. The role will involve deployment of these tools as defined within the product introduction process and implement the quality plans as defined by the quality and engineering management. Deployment of APQP tools within the product introduction process is recognised as a requirement within the organisation, in order that processes are robustly controlled to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained, and zero customer failures are experienced. The role will involve project management, and working with the Product Introduction Team to ensure that processes are defined, controlled, possible sources of variation have been assessed with preventative measures implemented.
The candidate should be experienced in the deployment and development of the following:
Project management
Process mapping
FMEAs
Control Plans
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Mistake Proofing Techniques
Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Gauge R & R
The successful candidate must have at least 3 years experience within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum qualification of HND in an engineering or quality related discipline. PC literacy is required with the applicant conversant in MS office tools, and statistical packages.
